December Ipsy Bag

Hi angelfaces! Happy New Year's Eve! So I'm a bit late this month, I know, but I finally have the Ipsy's December bag review done! Can I just say I feel like this company just keeps getting more and more awesome as the month's go on. If you aren't subscribed to this company and are contemplating on joining in, DO IT! I promise you will not regret it. This month they also added in m

Once again, I was extremely excited to receive this month's bag. Ipsy likes to show sneak peeks a few weeks before they send the bags out and everyone flipped when they saw the Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Pencil picture!

December's theme was Haute Holiday - This month's glam bag is the perfect compliment to that sensational holiday dress you picked out just for the year's biggest party.

What's inside the bag this month! Love the little ornaments.

This month's Glam Bag is a greyish tan nylon bag. It seems plain until you open it up...

BAM! Hot pink inside with 'ipsy' printed all over. I love little surprises like that!

Mai Couture Highlighter Papier Buy
I wasn't too sure about this product. I've never used a highlighter paper before. To be honest, I've never even heard of highlighter paper. Basically, you just take the paper and swipe wherever you want to highlight. Easy enough, right? The highlight this paper gives is subtle but beautiful.

Mai Couture Highlighter Paper

Be A Bombshell Lipgloss in Hot MessBuy
Another product I was a bit weary about. This is even more neon red in person. Totally intimidating! After trying it on, I loved it! It's not as neon as it comes off to be. I can see every skintone being able to wear this.

Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye PencilBuy
The creme de la creme of this bag! I was super excited to try this out and was not disappointed. Super creamy and easy to work with. This is the perfect pencil to smudge with for smokey eyes.

Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil

Mirabella Prime for Face and EyesBuy
Hands down my favorite primer EVER. I can't even begin to explain how awesome this product is. First, it's super smooth and silky to the touch. Secondly, it's oil-free (because God knows I don't need anymore oil on my eyelids than what I already have!), and contains Vitamin E to smooth out lines and moisturize.

NYX Loose Pearl Shadow Buy
This was my first time ever using loose eyeshadow. Naturally, it got everywhere. Oopsies. Color payoff was amazing but unfortunately, there was fall out. This was perfect to highlight with in the inner corner of your eye.

Are you subscribed to Ipsy? If not, does this bag change your mind? Which products would you love to try out from this bag?

Stay tuned for my NYE nails coming up tonight! xx

Nail'd It Rudolph Knows and Caramel Apple - Review & Swatches

Howdy everyone! I'm currently snowed in and keepin' some of the holidays going with these two gorgeous polishes from Nail'd It Unique called Rudolph Knows (Christmas) and Caramel Apple (Halloween). I've heard some pretty amazing stuff about Nail'd It and couldn't wait to try these babies out. Unfortunately, I didn't get to test them out until after the holidays :( so I decided this would be a great chance to show y'all how to take a "holiday" polish and turn it into an everyday polish just by changing up the base color!

Rudolph Knows and Caramel Apple

Caramel Apple is a clear base with various gold hexes with apple green hexes mixed in.

This is one coat over China Glaze Sweet Hook. Super smooth application from this polish. This is a scented polish! I had no idea and felt like a crazy person catching whiffs of something yummy every time I waved my hands. I actually searched this to ease my mind and thankfully, it is indeed scented. Love it!

Rudolph Knows is a red tinted base with fuchsia and red hexes.

This is one light coat over Essie Braziliant. Love, love, LOVE this. A super easy squishy jelly formula from Nail'd It. I love the almost "glowing underneath" effect this polish gives. This polish is probably opaque by itself in 2-3 coats.

Where to buy: You can currently find Nail'd It at LlaroweMei Mei's Signatures and Overall Beauty.
Each website's prices vary.

Make sure to 'like' Nail'd It Unique Nail Polish on Facebook to be kept up-to-date on collections, news, etc.

Some Pretty Awesome News!

Hi everyone! I hope everyone had an ah-mazing holiday and got everything their heart desires! I was happy with my family being healthy and happy but this year I got a little spoiled...

I got engaged!
How's that for some big news!? I'm so excited. My boyfriend fiancee and I have been together for four years (living together for two) and while I hoped he'd pop the question soon, I was totally shocked when he actually did it last Saturday at a butterfly conservatory. Romantic, right? Squee! We do not have a date set in mind yet.

In other exciting but slightly old news - XO, Noelle received a makeover! It's been up for quite some time, but I've been so busy I've never given it a proper introduction. The lovely Brea at Utterly Chaotic re-did the entire thing for a more professional, fun and easy to click around layout. If you check out the right column, you can see my Instagram feed, cute little icons to click to bring you to my Pinterest, send me an e-mail, etc. Thank you so much, Brea! xx

Crystal Clark's Weekend Nails - Part 1 - Review & Swatches

Hi everyone! In a perfect world, my nails would be long, healthy and strong but alas, this world is not perfect and I'm currently rockin' shorties. I thought this would be the perfect time to try out some nails by Crystal Clark!

I first found Crystal Clark nails browsing through my Instagram feed and saw some gorgeous nails she had made up for the Nailgasm Documentary. SO trendy, intricate and fun! Luckily, Crystal and I talked and she was amazing enough to send out some nails for me to try out and review. Working with the likes of Solange Knowles and with magazines such as Vogue and Glamour (y'know, just to name a few), Crystal's handmade nails are one-of-a-kind works of art of the highest quality. If that last sentence didn't make you die of envy already, top all of that off with her being a New York Fashion Week veteran AND a super duper sweetheart. Yeah, I'm jealous!

Crystal sent me two sets of Weekend nails but I'm splitting them into two separate posts. They totally deserve it! This is post features a full set while the second set is more super adorable accent nails. I can't wait to show you guys!

The first set I have is a neon cobalt blue with black and white tribal/zebra print. The set includes 20 nails in 12 different sizes, nail glue and a mini smiley face emery board.

Gah, check out these nails!

These were so easy to put on and I loved that she includes small and large nail sizes! A lot of kits only come with just large sizes or just small sizes (and I say "small" loosely - they never fit me!). This kit comes with both and every size in between.

How I put on fake nails:
  • First, I push back my cuticles and remove any nail polish I have on. I like to start with a clean slate!
  • Next, I try on the fake nails before gluing them down and see what sizes work for me.
  • Taking nail glue, I use a thin layer over my naked nail and press the nail on. Make sure not to flood the cuticles with the glue. Or, ahem, glue your fingers together.
  • Trim the nails down to your liking. You can do this before you put the nails on or after.

Where to buy: Etsy

Availability: Unfortunately (and fortunately), most styles are only made once! That means limited edition, baby!

Make sure to check out Crystal Clark's work at her website!

Lynnderella Common Sense

Hi everyone! Hope you all had a fantastic holiday filled with love, health and maybe some yummy food and prezzies along with it ;) I have some HUGE news to tell you later today but decided to share with you another favorite polish of mine while you wait: Lynnderella Common Sense!

Common Sense is a clear base with a mixture of pink and copper hexes and shimmer. This is from the Sweet Somethings for a Summer Solstice collection.

Macro! I don't think you all understand how much I love this color combo together.

This is one coat of Common Sense over (you guessed it!) my favorite nude ever, Essie Sand Tropez. Super smooth formula and easy application. I love how the copper looks almost like rose gold flakes. It's such a unique color combination.

Availability/Where To Buy: I don't currently see it in Lynnderella's eBay shop but it may pop up in there.

BadAss Polish - Swatches & Review

Hello my little mistletoes! Remember me? I used to update like a fiend until work/life/holidays came around but I'm back! Tonight I have for you four awesome polishes from Bad Ass Polish! Now, with a name like that, you have a lot to live up to and Amy and Chris do not disappoint! Let's check them out.

Bad Ass Polish America's Team, Dusk, Go Pack Go! and Bling

Can I first just start off and say how absolutely amazing their packaging is? Each polish came in their own little tube all wrapped up in a soft felt square.

Opening the tube!

Bling is a clear base chock full of gold and silver various sized hexes inspired by Amy's husband's wedding band.

Right off the bat, Bling reminded me of Dollish Polish Put A Ring On it. I LOVE gold top coats. The pointer and pinky show one coat over China Glaze Sweet Hook. The middle and ring show two coats. The formula was slightly thick but SUPER easy to work with. I love when that happens. This polish can also be built up with three to for coats for full opacity.

Go Pack Go! is a clear base with micro green glitters and large gold hexes scattered in. This polish is inspired by the Green Bay Packers.

This is pure awesome sauce. Another slightly thick but super easy to work with formula. I had no issues getting those big gold hexes out!

America's Team is a clear base with silver micro glitter and blue stars inspired by the Dallas Cowboys.

I really wish I layered this over a lighter color so you could see how gorgeous it truly is. I had no issues getting those beautiful blue stars out, by the way. I don't know how Amy and Chris make these so easy to work with but they do!

And last, but certainly not least is Dusk a clear base packed with micro dark blue glitters with some gold sprinkled in inspired by the night sky.

My absolute favorite of the bunch! Super smooth to work with. This is one coat layered over China Glaze Seaspray but could easily be built up for full opacity. I've heard this is a dupe for the very hard to find OPI Absolutely Alice but alas, I don't own it so I can't compare :(

Overall: I don't know how Chris and Amy make polishes so dense with glitter yet extremely easy to work with with no grit, pulling or dragging. I had absolutely no issues with any of these polishes. All of the larger hexes and stars that would normally make me pull my hair out trying to fish around for, came out so effortlessly. High five, Bad Ass Polish!

Where to buy: Etsy / Price: $8.50

Make sure to 'like' BadAss Polish's FB page for updates and more info!

Lynnderella The Glittering Crowd - Review & Swatches

Hi loves! So sorry for missing lately! I've been sick with a wicked sinus infection (the kind that makes you feel like you've been punched in the face repeatedly) and working like a mad woman. BUT today I have for you one of my most favorite glitter topcoats ever: Lynnderella The Glittering Crowd! It feels so long since I've shown you all a polish that I'm not reviewing but showing to you just because I like it.

Lynnderella The Glittering Crowd is a clear base with "over 100 different multi-colored hexagons, squares and bar glitter". This bottle is by far the most interesting polish I've ever owned. Every time I paint my nails with it, a new color pops up. I love it!

Macro shot. How pretty are all of those colors?

Excuse how rough my hands look. My hands have taken such a beating with this cold weather and new job. Sad face.

This is two coats over Essie Sand Tropez (what else?) and mattified with NYC Matte Top Coat. I had no issues with fishing for glitters nor any dragging. It was perfect!

This top coat makes me so happy with all of it's colors. It feels like a party!

Availability/Where To Buy: I don't currently see it in Lynnderella's eBay shop but I have seen it pop up at least once a week in it so keep checking back!

12 Days of Christmas Nail Art Challenge - Day 4: Christmas Lights!

Double posting tonight to catch up on the 12 Days of Christmas Challenge - Eeek! This post is for December 5th - Christmas lights! Who doesn't love Christmas lights? I'm a sucker for the "old fashion" ones. Y'know? The big brightly colored bulbs that I'm almost positive they don't make any more because they're a fire hazard? Yeah, I love those.

Unfortunately, I didn't have a thin brush to make a thinner line for the wire nor do I have tape, but I think it came out pretty cute!

Light up these ladies lights and check out their nails!

12 Days of Christmas Nail Art Challenge - Day 3: Christmas Movie!

Hey guys! I know, I know. I'm super behind on this! I'm posting December 3rd's theme of a Christmas movie! As soon as I read the challenge, I knew exactly what movie I was going to do: Rudolph The Red Nose Reindeer & The Island of Misfits! I love, love, love this movie! Can you guess which nail is each toy?

Thumb: The Abominable Snowman, Pointer: Spotted Elephant, Middle: Dolly's dress, Ring: Rudolph and Pinky: Clarice

I'm pretty happy with these! I love The Abominable Snowman on my thumb and Clarice!

Which toy is your favorite? If you've never seen this movie, what movie puts you in the mood for the holiday? Every year we watch National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation!

Make sure to check these girls and their movie nails:

November Favorites!

I say this all the time but I can't believe this month flew by! November I was very thankful for my amazing family, friends and readers of my blog! Without any of them, I would be nothing. So thank you all <3 Let's get to my November favorites! Beware - it's a long list this month! xo

Beauty Favorites:
Bath & Body Works Vanilla Bean Noel Body Lotion - (Buy) and Mist - (Buy)
L-O-V-E! I'm almost positive these were featured in my "What's In My Purse?" video which goes to show how much I adore this scent. The scent is a very sweet and warm vanilla. Currently, B&BW is having a buy three, get two free sale so run, skip, jump to your nearest B&BW and scoop these up!

Revlon Colorstay Quad in Addictive - (Buy)
The name of it says it all - ADDICTIVE! I've been loving this quad lately because I've been into the whole smokey brown eye look. This is perfect for it. The quad contains a soft creme, a subtle shimmery champagne, a light brown and a bronze-y tan.

Laura Geller Baked Body Frosting in Tahitian Glow - (Buy)
Laura Geller's Body Frosting is by far one of the best bronzers I've ever used. Talk about an opening line, huh? It's definitely build-able although I think one sweep around your face and neck is usually enough. It has a tiny bit of shimmer in it although I don't see it once it's on my face. What I love the most is that it lasts! I don't know how many bronzers I've used that by the end of the day have soaked into my skin. This one definitely lasts until I get home late at night. Love it!

Laura Geller Baked Body Frosting in Tahitian Glow

3D Crest White Whitestrips - (Buy)
I was lucky enough to have these sent to me by Influenster in a teeth-whitening box! I usually shy away from this stuff because I'm pretty nervous about putting anything on my teeth. I tried it, stuck through it and love the results! By day four, I was really nervous because my teeth were insanely sensitive from the strips. I stopped for a few days and it went away, thank God! Naturally, I was not thrilled to start again, but I did and was fine! My teeth are nice and white!

  • E.LF. Eyelid Primer - (Buy) I've been using this primer for forever so it's only fair it's featured in a favorites post at least once. It's amazing and has been compared to primers from Urban Decay and Too Faced. Unfortunately, I have neither of those but I can vouch and say it's pretty awesome! You're definitely getting a lot of bang for a buck (literally, it's $1).
  • Be A Bombshell Eyeliner in Onyx - (Buy) I received this in my Ipsy October bag and have used it almost every day since. This eyeliner is basically a liquid eyeliner in a fine-point Sharpie body. Super smooth and manageable, I've perfected the cat eye using this baby!
  • Chella Eyebrow Defining Gel - (Buy) Another essential from an Ipsy bag. This is from November's bag. I never really noticed how unruly my eyebrows were until I decided to try this and noticed the huge difference. td;lr: It's a clear gel the calms your eyebrows down.
  • Maybelline One By One Volum Express Mascara in Satin Black - (Buy) I think this was also in a previous favorites post but it's been used so often in November, I couldn't not put it in this month as well. After playing around with a few other mascaras, I've noticed this one definitely is more dramatic. It's more va-va-voom and plumps up your lashes and gives them a fake lash look.

e.l.f. Lotion Wipes in Vanilla Sugar Cookie - (Buy)
While browsing through Target in late September, I came upon these lotion wipes. I bought them and completely forgot about them. November brought super cold weather and dry skin for me, so I searched for these babies and tried them out and was surprised by how moisturizing they were. And they smell yummy! These are perfect to pop in your purse and go!

Chi Keratin Mist - (Buy)
I'm the queen of hair products (or so I tell myself). As a long-time curly/wavy haired girl turned straightening addict, I'm always looking for something to help out my otherwise heat-damaged hair (even with heat protect-ants). One of my favorites is this keratin mist leave-in strengthening treatment which protects, strengthens and softens your hair all in one. Big plus? It smells AMAZING!

Nail Favorites:
  • Essie Sand Tropez - (Buy) I think it's pretty safe to say everyone knows this has been one of my favorites this month. The perfect nude for me!
  • Lynnderella Snow Angel - (Buy) While it's a little on the thick side (meaning glitter dense), it's perfect for when I want a snowfall on my nails.
  • Pams & Kin Bruised - (Buy) Swatch below. Need I say more?
  • Lynnderella A Neutral Party - (Buy) This is the only tan-based glitter topcoats I own (and have ever seen) and I love it!
Pams & Kin Bruised

Above The Curve Kerbabbled!

Pie nails from the Thanksgiving Nail Art Challenge

Mustache/Tuxedo nails for Movember!

15 pc. Nail Art Brushes - (Buy)
Okay. So it's a little cheapy at $2.00 for the entire set. Do I plan on getting better ones? Absolutely! But this is a perfect set for beginners like me!

Non-Beauty Favorites:
Slatkin & Co. Sparkling Icicles - (Buy)
Perfect candle to get into the mood for a wintery night! B&BW says it's a combination of sweet moss, bergamot with citrus. I say it smells awesome.

So those are my favorites! PHEW. What a list! What were your favorites this month?

the latest on the 'gram.
