Zoya PixieDust for Fall 2013 - Swatches & Review

Hi sugars! Today I have swatches from Zoya's PixieDust Collection for Fall 2013! I can't believe I'm posting about fall already. Breathe, Noelle, we still have August. Anywho, this is my first time ever trying out textured polishes and I've got to say, I'm impressed! I don't know why I didn't try these out sooner. Let's check out the swatches!

Zoya PixieDust for Fall 2013

Tomoko is described as a romantic champagne color with a matte, textured, sparkling metal finish. Sparkling is right! I love, love, LOVE this color! This is one coat although I recommend two coats for a nice opaque finish. Formula was absolute perfection with no issues. Also, this dried SUPER fast. Like, in two minutes fast.

Chita is described as a forest green with a matte, textured, sparkling metal finish. I'm not a green polish girl by any means but I think I've found one that might change my mind. I will definitely be rocking this for fall. Again, formula was awesome. This is one coat!

Sunshine is described as a "Van Gogh" navy blue with a matte, textured, sparkling metal finish. What a weird name for such a dark polish. *Shrugs* I love their description though. This is definitely "Starry Night"-esque.

Dhara is described as a firey orange with a matte, textured, sparkling metal finish. Oh. My. Goodness. I don't even need to wait until fall to wear this baby. This is one coat although I think two would've really done the trick on this.

Arabella is described as rich fuschia with a matte, textured, sparkling metal finish. Another great transition color for summer to fall! Again, this is one coat but two would probably attain full opacity.

Carter is described as a royal purple with a matte, textured, sparkling metal finish. This is my favorite color of this collection! Naturally, my camera and lighting wouldn't cooperate and made this look patchy? I can promise you there were no issues with this formula that would cause patchiness. Mark my words: this is going to be one of the must-have polishes for Fall 2013.

Overall: Squee! This collection is amazing. Every polish's formula was absolute perfection to work with. You would think with the pixie dust texture that there would be issues with dragging and pulling but there wasn't. Another awesome thing about this polish? The drying time! By the time I painted my nails and photographed them, they were dry. Removal was easy-peasy and equivalent to normal nail polish removal. My two favorites of this collection are Carter, Chita and Sunshine! Zoya Nail Polish is a nail polish free of toluene, formaldehyde, DBP (phthalates) and camphor.

Where to Buy / Availability: This collection is currently up for sale now on Zoya.com (referral link)! PS. By using my referral link and being a first time customer, you'll receive a free bottle of Zoya nail polish of your choice! Price: $9 each or $54 for the entire collection.

MAC RiRi Boy - Review & Swatches

Hello lovers! A few weeks ago, the limited edition RiRi Hearts MAC Collection was released on MAC.com and holy cow - chaos ensued! I'm a sucker for limited edition collections. I sat on my phone for nearly five hours trying to order something - anything - from the collection and was finally able to put an order through. I ended up getting RiRi Boy, Heaux (review coming soon!) and Hibiscus Kiss Blush/Bronzer duo. YAY! So let's see how RiRi Boy matched up to all the hype.

MAC RiRi Boy Lipstick

MAC RiRi Boy is described as a vivid lavender with a retro matte finish. I would call it a cool blue-toned fuschia. I never in a million years thought I could pull off a purple lipstick but I ended up absolutely loving this and thought it went really well with my skintone. The consistency is creamy and soft and weirdly enough not drying like I expected it would be. The color is definitely opaque enough to wear on its own and lasting time was around 3.5 hours before light fading. Cons? No limited edition packaging. Meh. The signature embedded into the lipstick is a nice touch but as a limited edition I think some crazy packaging would've made it better. Sigh. I guess I'll have to wait until the fall RiRi collection.

(Collective sigh on my unruly eyebrows. I'm, ahem, going for the "bold" look.)

SO. Who managed to snag something from the craziness that was RiRi Hearts MAC release? Would you rock RiRi Boy?

Where to purchase / Availability: MAC - Online only. The site says they're out of stock but ships soon! $15.00

Influenster Sunkissed VoxBox - Swatches & Review

Hi everyone! Today on the blog, I have a review on Influenster's Sunkissed VoxBox! Don't know what an Influenster VoxBox is? Say it ain't so! Check out my post for tons of info on Influenster here and join in on the fun - it's free!

Anyway, let's check out this Sunkissed VoxBox, shall we?

  • Dr. Scholls For Her ($10.99) - You're all going to think I'm weird but I've been dying to try these! These gel insoles are made to wear with high heels and are clinically proven to help with pain when wearing 2" heels or higher. The ultra soft gel arches takes the pressure off the ball of your foot. I wouldn't say the pain went away totally, but I do agree that pain was to a bare minimal while wearing my new Charlotte Russe wedges.
  • Sinful Shine with Gel Tech ($2.99) - Love Sinful Colors? Meet their shinier and longer-lasting sister. With 32 colors to chose from, there's so many options. Sinful Shine is exclusively found at Walgreens. The color I received is Your's Truly which is a true pink with a very subtle iridescent shimmer.
  • Olay Fresh Effects {BB Cream!} Tinted Moisturizer with SPF 15 ($12.99) - This BB cream is a sunscreen, tinted moisturizer and skin-perfecter all in one. What I love the most about this is how light it feels on the skin, especially for summertime. I love this BB cream so much, I put it in my June Favorites post! <3
  • Goody Ouchless Ribbon Elastics ($2.99-$3.99) - Plain ol' elastics? Never again. These ribbon elastics are the bee's knees. Just last night, I put my hair up in a ponytail with one of these and fell asleep. My hair was still in place the next morning! No headaches from your hair getting caught in it or being too tight. AND no creases in my hair!
Yay! So that's my Influenster Sunkissed VoxBox review! Are you part of Influenster? If so, did you receive this box? If not, would you purchase any of the products in this box?

June Favorites!

Hello my gorgeous friends! I hope everyone had an amazing and safe 4th of July! My fiance and a big group of friend's went to a friend's uncle's house and watched their big fireworks extravaganza they have every year. They close down the street and everything. SO much fun! What did you all do?

But before I even get started with July fun, I have my June Favorites to share with you all! Woohoo! June was full of trying out new summer products and bringing out some old favorites as well. Let's check 'em out!

Ipsy June Bag
First up for favorites is this bag that came from Ipsy's June Bag! How cute and appropriate is this for summer time? I love the leopard print and neon trim and especially like how the zipper is in the front and not on the top. It fits about three lipglosses, four lipsticks, a big bronzer and mascara, roughly. It's pretty roomy!

c.Booth Tahitian Monoi Dry Oil Spray
You guys might remember this from my Ulta haul post a few weeks ago. This is paradise in a bottle! This dry oil spray is a sweet mix of coconut oil and Tiare flowers that makes your skin glow and feel soft. I love, love, love the smell of this - like warm vanilla mixed with something tropical. I spray this on my legs and arms after I get out of the shower, rub it in and within a minute or so, it's completely absorbed and I'm ready to roll.

Chella Ivory Lace Highlighter
Another goodie from Ipsy's June bag! This highlighter is the swiss army knife of highlighters and can also be used as a nude eyeliner to make your eyes pop, a concealer and a light eyelid primer.

Escada Sunset Heat
No lie, I've had this for about three or four years. My fiance bought it for our first anniversary along with D&G Light Blue. I'm obsessed with Light Blue so Sunset Heat was thrown in the back of the drawer until June. I'm not quite sure if perfume ever expires but this still smells like the day I received it. The top notes: lemon, papaya with pineapple mousse, mango sorbet and refreshing water melon accords. Sandalwood, coconut and hibiscus with its powdery floral notes end the composition.

MAC Mineralize Concealer in NC15
My new favorite under eye concealer of all time! This concealer has a yellow undertone which goes with my skin. I always thought I had a pinkish undertone but for whatever reason this concealer works. I picked this up from The Cosmetic Company Outlet (home away from home) for about half the original price. The consistency is creamy and doesn't settle in my skin. Surprisingly, my pores don't suck this in and lasts throughout the day, even in hot weather!

Dollish Polish Peter Cotton Tail, NerdLacquer Entirely Unlike Tea & Essie The Girls Are Out
Dollish Polish Peter Cotton Tail was a LE that came out for Easter. It reminded me so much of the elusive Lynnderella Habeas Coral that I had to have it! It's a super light coral with iridescent sparkles in it. NerdLacquer Entirely Unlike Tea is a beautiful nude pink base with silver and iridescent shimmer. It's absolutely gorgeous. Lastly, is Essie The Girls Are Out which is a deep fuschia with silver shimmer. This color is so cute on the tanned toesies.

MAC Lipglass in Florabundance
Florabundance is a pretty pale nude. I've been searching all over for the perfect nude lip combo and finally found it with this layered over MAC Myth. Unfortunately, this lipglass is a bit sticky and thick but I'm not really bothered by it. It's opaque enough to wear by itself but can also be layered over a lipstick.

NYX Cream Blush in Rose Petal
Can you tell I've been loving NYX lately? This cream blush was in my June Ipsy bag and I'm so thankful it was. I would've never thought to try a cream blush before. This blush is a sweet dusty pink. One light swipe is enough color for both cheeks. To the touch, it's creamy but rubs in powdery. Loves it!

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Milan
Oh my goodness! This lip cream is the coolest thing I've ever tried before. It's not a lipstick, but it's not a lipgloss - it's a crazy mix in between but dries a soft matte. The color is absolutely beautiful; a pretty blue-toned pink. And guys, let's talk about the scent! It smells like a sugary vanilla cookie. Yummmmm!

Olay Fresh Effects BB Cream in Fair to Light
BB Cream's are perfect for summertime. This one boasts it's a "skin perfecting tinted moisturizer with sunscreen". I absolutely love this. This was in my Influenster Sunkissed Vox Box (review coming soon!). I've had my eyes on this for a long time but always had an excuse to not buy it so I'm happy this was in the box. Anyway, the formula is super light on the face and not greasy at all. This also has SPF15 in it which is always a plus!

Psssst! Instant Dry Shampoo
I think it's safe to say almost all of my Ipsy June bag is in my favorites. My mom told me this has been around for forever but I've never heard of it before. I have thin hair that always seems to fall flat and greasy by the end of the day. This is the only dry shampoo I've come across (besides Rock Your Hair) that has really added some oomph to my hair and dried up my greasy roots without weighing it down five minutes later.

Hempz Treats Warm Apple Cider Body Lotion
GUYS. This smells like fall. It's almost not fair to have this in my summer favorites when it reminds me so much of pumpkins and hayrides. This lotion has hemp seed oil in which helps renew your skin. It also has natural honey and vanilla extracts that are rich in antioxidants to keep your skin smooth and moisturized. I found this (among others) at TJ Maxx.

Swatches (L-R): NYX Rose Petal, MAC Mineralized Concealer, Chella Highlighter Pencil, NYX Milan, MAC Florabundance & Olay BB Cream
