Woohoo! Mardi Gras is today and if you're like me, well you probably aren't there celebrating. Instead I'll be totally reminiscing about the one time I went to New Orleans (not for Mardi Gras) and it was still IN-SANE! Wedding parties walking down the street complete with a huge band, drinks flowing, dancing, etc. Bourbon Street is a party any night of the week and there are constantly beads being thrown around when the sun goes down if you catch my drift. Oh yeah baby!

I started out the look by priming my lids with Urban Decay Primer Potion. In retrospect, a green cream base or even a white base to make the green eyeshadow pop would've probably worked better. Merp. You live and learn. From the Urban Decay Ammo Palette, I patted Mildew (what a gross name for a gorgeous shadow!) all over my lid. I then took Nooner from the Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette and swept that into my crease making sure to blend into Mildew for a seamless transition. It's a fantastic transition shade! Then going back to the Ammo Palette, I wanted to incorporate a fun purple so I took Last Call and took that onto my lower lash and blended out. For the inner corner, I wanted a pigmented gold so I used Limelight from the Urban Decay Mariposa Palette. Lastly, I took my handy dandy Eddie Funkhouser Ultra Definition Eye Lining Stylus and created a double-winged eyeliner to make it funky! :)

Anyone celebrating Mardi Gras? What are your plans!? I leave you all with an extremely blurry picture of Bourbon Street. I promise it is :)
