Raise your hand if you've ever needed your phone in a desperate situation (checking someone's FB status, stalking a HauteLook sale, texting, etc.) and have it completely die on you. Mine has actually gone from 20% to 1% in two minutes. I don't even know how that's possible. Needless to say, it leaves a girl feeling pretty naked without an active phone. I mean, how else are you going to look busy texting when someone you don't like approaches you?

Say no more. RavPower has you covered! A few months ago, I was sent this pretty pink power bank charger to try out. All you have to do is connect your phone to the power bank (with your own USB charger cord, of course) and wa-la! It'll charge away. I've always wanted one to stick in my purse and have just in case I'm ever in the above situation.

Straight out of the box, the  power bank charged my phone about 30% and then died out on me. No biggie. For straight out of the box, that's pretty awesome. After charging the charger itself, it gave my phone a full charge and about 40% the next time I had to charge it.

What I really liked about this power bank (beside the fact that it's hot pink and saves my phone from it's death bed) is that it has an incredibly bright (at least that's what my fiance told me when I accidentally flashed it in his face) LED flashlight built into it with three different settings: low/high beam and disco party strobe. Another cool thing about it is that it has an automatic on/off button. Once you uplug your phone from it, it turns off, saving your battery juice for next time.

To charge the charger itself is easy (well, now it is). I had no clue how to charge it and for awhile, thought it was broken. That is until I read the manual and saw that it's supposed to come with a USB to Micro USB charger that you can connect to a USB port to charge. Mine didn't come with one. It happens and was no worries for me, I just ended up using my fiance's Galaxy Note2 charger.

This power bank is compatible with:
- iPhone 5S 5C 5 4S 4,iPod (please use the original 8Pin / 30Pin Cable from Apple)
-1 x Micro USB Connector:
HTC: One X, S, V/Sensation XE XL/EVO 4G/Radar 4G/Inspire 4G/ ThunderBolt
Samsung: Galaxy S4/S3/Note 3/Note 2/S2 /Nexus/Galaxy Note/Focus S/Infuse
Google: Nexus 5, Nexus 4, Google glass
Motorola: Droid Razr, Bionic/Atrix 2/riumph
- Other cell phone, MP3, MP4, digital camera, and other with DC 5V input

Overall, I actually love this. I can't even count how many times this has come in handy while out. Having this makes me feel a little bit safer about being out at night because I know if my phone dies, I'll have a bright flashlight and extra charge in my purse.
