It's officially official! This baby is coming in 10 weeks (more or less). That is the most terrifying/exciting thing I've come to realize. I feel so unprepared. I may have mentioned this briefly before but the house that we've been working on buying since last year's closing has been postponed (for the third or fourth time) to "possibly late July, mid August". Because that's specific. So we have no nursery set up, no where to put all his little clothes and toys. It's been frustrating to say the least. I'd just rather know if we're actually going to have this house or will there be more postponing? I just scheduled a hospital visit. I haven't washed any little clothes. I haven't picked out a pediatrician. It's exciting obviously because we'll finally get to meet Baby XO. I can't wait to see what features he has from Ant and which ones he has from me. I can't wait to see Anthony with him. I can't wait to hold him.

Anywho. I have a large group of doctors as my OBGYN group and have to meet most of them before I have Baby XO. I met with my first male doctor last week. Nothing against guy doctors; I've just always had a woman. So, he comes in, seems really nice, checks me out and measures me and askes if I have any questions. I said, "Yeah. I noticed the baby doesn't really have a schedule when it comes to kicking. Some days he's crazy active and others I barely feel him." He goes, "Well, what do you do during the day?" So I say,"I write. I blog during the day." and he goes, "Oh. So you basically do nothing. Well, you should definitely feel him all the time because he's always moving. Like, if I had a baby, since I walk around all the time, I might not feel him but since you sit and do nothing, you should feel him all the time."

Ladies and gentlemen. I'm very polite. When I get slapped with that kind of bullshit, I really don't say much because I figure I'd rather not be in jail when I deliver but here's a few things I could've said in that situation:
- "No, you're right. I'd much rather be paid to go around and pretend I know how women feel being pregnant."
- "Did you read any of the books given to you in school? If so, you'd know that that's NOT true at all. Babies sleep in the womb, you moron. So, NO, I wouldn't feel him all the time."
- "Don't worry. I'll be blogging about you soon."
