Happy Friday, cutie pies! Ah, it's a good day to have some Makeup Revolution products on the blog, right? If you haven't heard of the brand before, they're basically one of the best kept secrets as their products are moderately priced but have the quality of some of the most top label brands. They're also known for having some killer dupes to some popular products.

Today, I have two products to share with you - the Golden Sugar 2 Rose Gold Blush Palette and the Rose Gold Lipstick in Chauffeur. Let's check them out!

  • Makeup Revolution Golden Sugar 2 Rose Gold Blush Palette ($10)- Hello stunner! I had one of those moments when I opened this like, "Sweet Lord. This is beautiful." I kind of assumed that this palette would be filled with different shades of rose golds or complimentary colors so color me surprised to find a mix of beautiful metals and mattes. I feel like this palette will work for all skintones but naturally some shades will work on some tones better than others. The two mattes on the right side are perfect for pale skintones (I use the one on the bottom as a bronzer) but they probably wouldn't even show up on a deeper skintone. The third on the bottom from the left is absolutely jaw-dropping for medium/deep skintones but might be too harsh for anyone lighter. Of course, any shades that might not work as a highlighter or blush for your skintone could definitely be used as an eyeshadow so I wouldn't file this under a loss at all. My favorite shades are the bottom right matte shade (as a bronzer) and the bottom left highlighter (leaves my skin looking dewy rather than super blingy). I have to note that all shades were slightly dry to the touch but didn't feel that way once applied. Kind of weird.
  • Makeup Revolution Rose Gold Lipstick in Chauffeur ($5) - Chauffeur is a gorgeous dusty mauve nude shade with a smooth, creamy, satin finish. I was surprised by how pigmented it was and how comfortable it was to wear throughout the day. I'm so eager to try out the rest of the bunch from the collection now.

Overall: First off, how gorgeous is that blush palette? I feel like it's a palette that'll have something for every skin tone but some shades will work better for others. Each shade feel slightly dry to the touch but did not apply in that way and actually applied rather smoothly and beautifully. Each highlighter shade was pigmented but not sparkly in anyway and left a rather dewy finish. As for the lipstick, I absolutely love Chauffeur and was surprised by how pigmented and creamy it was. I want to try all the lipsticks from that collection now!
