You guys. We are in full-on fall weather and I am loving it. The cool air, the sweaters and most importantly (especially as a beauty blogger) - the makeup. There's just something about the leaves changing colors and the holidays approaching that is just so inspiring and gets all the creative juices flowing.

Today, I'll be sharing a step-by-step glam fall-inspired makeup tutorial but before we get started - can I share a secret with you?

Did you know every single makeup tutorial I post starts out with the exact same first step? Yup. Before I even pick up a makeup brush, I wash my hands and put in my ACUVUE® Brand Contact Lenses that I had prescribed from Target Optical®. I find the ACUVUE® Brand Contact Lenses super easy to pop in and go but here's a pamphlet that shows you how to put them in if you're new to them. Switching out my glasses for ACUVUE® Brand Contact Lenses has been a total gamechanger. Not only can I actually see myself applying my makeup better with contacts in but once I'm done with my makeup, it's such a nice change to not have to place glasses over it (I know, woe is me, right?).

Once I have my ACUVUE® Brand Contact Lenses in, I can go ahead and get my makeup on.

 Let's get this tutorial started!

  • First, I'll be applying a moisturizing base primer. I love using a moisturizing base as it gives such a nice "glow from within" once you apply your foundation on top of it. After I've spread out the base and applied my foundation evenly on top, I'll conceal any dark circles under the eyes and blemishes with a concealer about a shade lighter than my skintone. Going a shade lighter gives it a highlighting effect as well as concealing.

  • Next, I'll be applying a bronzer with a big fluffy brush. I like to hit all the places the sun would naturally tan your face like your forehead and cheeks. I also like to bring the bronzer down my neck and onto my chest for a cohesive look.
  • Moving onto blush, I take a different fluffy brush and apply a soft pink blush to the apples of my cheeks. I tend to go for a "just flushed" look with my blush. Lastly, I'll finish my cheeks with a swipe of highlighter on top of the cheekbones as well as under the eyebrow, cupid's bow and down the bridge of my nose.
  • Onto the eyes, I always start with a neutral colored cream base and pat this all over my lid. This basically gives me a blank canvas to start with and also gives something for the eyeshadows to kind of stick to.
  • Taking a fluffy crease brush, I take a warm brown shade and sweep that into my crease.

  • Next, I take a fluffy shade brush and apply an eggplant color to the outer lid and inner lid. This will create a fun halo effect once we pop the shade color on. I also add this shade on my lower lash.

  • Lastly, with my fingers, I pat a metallic bronzey orange shade on the middle. I find using your fingers to apply metallic shades gives them more pigment.
  • To finish this look, I will add a winged eyeliner, coat my lashes with mascara and apply a mauve-y lipstick.
What do you think? Would you rock this look? Do you wear ACUVUE® Brand Contact Lenses?
