Just a few days ago, my fiance, Anthony, reminded me it was our three year anniversary of the closing on our house. Is that a thing? It's a thing now. But hold up. Excuse me. How is that even possible? I feel like we're just diving into our home projects list (the amount supplies and tools we have lying in random spots around the house say otherwise) but the one room that I spend most of my time in has barely been touched...

Our biggest project? The laundry room. It's where allllll the magic happens - and by magic I mean where I spend most of my time trying to find where the heck the other sock went. Side note: When does that laundry end, y'all? I have two little guys and a fiance and it just keeps coming. Who is even wearing all these clothes!?

Our laundry room is in a great space but right now, it's lacking some charm. Today, I've partnered up with Best Buy to share with you my five ways to freshen up your laundry room!
  • Adding storage space. - Something as simple as adding storage space to the laundry room can make that load of laundry feel less overwhelming. Cabinets are great but can get pricey. If you have the space, adding shelves above your washer and dryer are a great way to keep laundry detergent and other chemicals out of little one's hands and right where you need them to be.
  • Get organized. I do laundry for myself as well as three others and it can get super frustrating when your clothes are mixed together. Besides keeping separate hampers for each person (which totally works!), a three-section laundry sorter/hamper on wheels is perfect for keeping your lights and darks or each family member's clothes separate and being able to push the hamper around is a total plus.
  • Add a folding station. This is so genius and saves my couch from having piles of clothes on it that inevitably get thrown around from the kids. If you have a front load washer and dryer, a great way to adding this folding station is simply by putting a counter over the washer and dryer. Pinterest has super cute ways to do this on the cheap and they look fabulous! If you don't have that option, putting a small table or island in the laundry room (see the above picture) can work and look great!
  • Decorate! The laundry room doesn't have to be all hampers, hangers and detergent! Add some spice to it. I've been collecting old washboards that I plan on hanging in my laundry room but even a simple "Laundry Room" sign adds some pizzazz. Adding a fun back splash or a funky paint color can liven the room up as well!
  • Upgrading your washer and dryer.  - If your budget is right, upgrading your washer/dryer system will definitely make you want to spend more time in your laundry room. I have my eye on a LG TWIN Wash System with the LG SideKick. Having a front load washer and drier would be an amazing upgrade to our laundry room but adding the LG SideKick is a total game-changer. It's a mini washer (one cubic foot - but fits three to four pounds of laundry!) that fits into the pedestal of your front load washer. Talk about camouflaged! It comes with six settings: normal, intimate, hand wash, active wear, rinse + spin and tub clean. The best feature? You can have this little baby running on its own or at the same time as your normal washer! The LG SideKick is compatible with every single LG front load washer created since 2009. I can definitely see myself getting way more laundry done with this! From 1/11 - 4/25 receive up to $500 off a LG laundry solution for your home.

What's one thing you wish you could add to your laundry room?
