I might not be the "crunchiest" mom out there, but if there's one thing I'm a huge stickler on, it's my children's vitamins. I'm always on the look out for vitamins that taste great for them but aren't covered in actual sugar and made with artificial dyes.

One of my biggest personal concerns with any vitamins my children take is that they must contain folate, not folic acid as Hunter has been suspected by his doctors to possibly have the MTHFR gene and not be able to process folic acid.

Recently, we had the chance to try out Little Davinci® Mighty Vite Vitamins ($20.95). Mighty Vite vitamins  was formulated with Dr. Matt Hand, MO, an integrative medicine pediatrician at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. They are a stevia-sweetened fruit punch flavored multi-vitamin powder for children that contains a load of nutrients to support your child's health. Mighty Vites contains:
  • Activated B vitamin so your child can absorb and use it more quickly.
  • Quatrefolic®, a bioactive form of folate, which is a better choice than folic acid with children with the gene mutation and can't convert folic acid into an active folate. Quatrefolic actually provides the active form. It also helps with a healthy attention span.
  • CurcuWIN®, a form of curcumin that is absorbed 46x better absorbed by the body than your standard curcumin. Honestly, guys, I had no idea what this was, so I researched it. Curcumin helps with a healthy digestive system as well as a healthy inflammatory response and brain function.
  • Elderberry, to help promote a healthy immune system. The boys usually take a separate elderberry vitamin that is covered in sugar. I love that elderberry is already in this vitamin!
  • Bacillus coagulans, a probiotic that helps support a healthy digestive system as well as other prebiotics like inulin and SunFiber to help boost a healthy good gut bacteria.
  • Vitamin D, with an impressive 10mcg as well as vitamin A, C and E bundled in.
  • Made with non-GMO ingredients, no added sugars, no added dairy, gluten-free and no extra fillers or binders. Make sure to check out their website for more information here!
Getting your child to try a new vitamin out, especially one that doesn't necessarily look like their normal vitamin, can sometimes be an adventure. I'm not going to lie, I've definitely had to sneak some veggies into my kid's food without looking sometimes.

The Mighty Vites vitamin powder comes in a ready-to-eat fruit punch flavor, sweetened by Stevia and can simply be added to your child's water. If your child is one of those that can taste even the smallest bit of something different, you can mix this into their yogurt, applesauce or smoothie, like we do!

Little Davinci also also offers vitamins that aid with sleep, gut, behavioral health and more!
