I think it's safe to say being a new parent is tough. Whether it's your first, second or fifth. I mean, you’d think after having two babies, my parenting skills would be top notch for my third and that there wouldn’t be much left for surprises...and then that third baby flips your entire world upside down!
That being said, there are a few things that I think every parent around the world can agree happens at least once in your parenting journey, and I'm here to share them with you! Also, stay tuned for a sweet giveaway at the end of this post!
- If your baby hasn’t pooped, try putting them in a really nice white outfit and loudly exclaim you only have a few minutes to spare before you need to leave. Works like a charm, every time.
- Toys shmoys. Sienna’s current favorite “toys” are my phone, my keys, the wipes wrapper and an empty water bottle.
- Oh! Remember that outfit your baby just blew out? Rinse as much as you can off and toss the outfit out in the sun. It literally disappears. Some will say it’s science; I say it’s magic! (But seriously, I tried finding an answer online about how the sun does this and haven't found an answer). It's totally magic, isn't it?
- Diaper rash? No worries! Triple Paste is a huge secret weapon when it comes down to treating, soothing AND preventing diaper rashes. I still remember the first time Hunter got a diaper rash and me racing to my online mommy groups to ask what they recommended to help it go away and hearing a resounding “TRIPLE PASTE!” I'm still so thankful they told me. It’s all I’ve ever used since!
Triple Paste isn’t just a holy grail secret product shared between mom groups - it’s recommended by pediatricians, tested by dermatologists and is so great for sensitive skin, that it’s endorsed by the National Eczema Association.
Triple Paste is different from as it is a diaper ointment that contains a mix of oat extract, beeswax and non-nano zinc oxide to soothe the skin. It’s also fragrance-free, paraben-free, preservative-free, talc-free, phthalate-free, dye- free, and hypoallergenic! I truly appreciate that this product is as natural and clean as it can be when putting it on what can be a pretty irritated and sensitive area.
Also, since the holidays are upon us, can we talk about how this would actually make a great stocking stuffer for a baby or a parent-to-be? I know I'd love this as a new (or even seasoned) parent!
What's your favorite "parenting secret" or something you wish someone shared with you?
