As a chickie on a budget right now, a product is really going to have to wow me for me to grab my credit card. I should've known ColourPop would be the ones to do it.
They recently collab'd with MakeupShayla on a gorgeous collection! Guys, I had almost the entire collection in my cart to check out but had to talk myself off the ledge because - well, my wallet would hate me - but the Perception Palette made the cut and came home to this mama!
The entire Shayla x ColourPop Collection consists of:
Perception Palette ($23)Ultra Glossy Lipstick in Neat Freak ($6)
Lux Lipsticks ($7) in OOUUUU!, C'mon Sis and Quickie
Luster Dust Loose Highlighter ($7) in Boomin' and Pose
You can purchase the entire collection here for $59.
Shayla x ColourPop Perception Palette ($23) is a stunning limited edition, 16 pan palette compiling an array of rich metallics and mattes to "transform your look from a soft day time slay to a bold and fierce night out look with one palette".
The Shades:
Unbothered - a metallic ivory with a peachy flip.
ColourPop palettes, in general, always seem to have their quality in check. To date, I don't think I've bought a palette from them that has disappointed me. Naturally, Perception falls right in line with the others with virtually no problem shades. Stallion and Shade had me nervous as they are both matte shades with glitter and those typically lose the glitter once applied on the lid but I was pleasently surprised to find both performed well and held their glitter with minimal fall out.
Generally, the rest of the shades were pigmented and blended well together. Honestly, as lame as this review sounds, there really weren't any shades that disappointed me, guys. Maybe my only negative noting is to not judge this palette solely by arm swatches as the mattes perform way better on the eye.
My absolute favorite shades from this palette are Stallion, 14 and Sassy!
