Summer days (especially the ones that are above 85 degrees) call for smoothie bowls! Listen, I don't make the rules. This pineapple mango smoothie bowl has been on repeat for weeks now and - round of applause everyone - it's kid-approved. The base smoothie is only three ingredients but it's the special additions to this that takes it to the next level.
PINEAPPLE MANGO SMOOTHIE BOWL
Ingredients:
- 1 cup of frozen mango
- 1 cup of frozen pineapple
- 1 cup of apple juice
- 1/4 tsp of turmeric
- 1/2 tsp of cinnamon
- a crack of pepper (you won’t taste it, I promise!)
Blend, baby, blend! We topped with a (very) heavy drizzle of sweetened coconut cream. It's not necessary but it adds a real nice, almost creaminess to the smoothie bowl. Top with some crunchy granola and enjoy!
(Optional) Sweet Coconut Cream:
- a can of coconut milk
- drizzle of maple syrup or honey (depends on how sweet you want it!)
