Hello little monsters! Today I have for you for my first ever nail art tutorial: Creepy Eyeballs! I love Halloween so I figured this would be perfect for it (or you could be like me and probably wear these all year long). I contemplated between recording a video or posting a tutorial with pictures and went with the pictures route. Let me know if you guys like it and want to see more. I'm always open to suggestions, comments, etc. Enjoy!

This is the final product: super creepy bloodshot eyes - now let's see how to get there!

Polishes I Used: China Glaze Stone Cold, Essie Playdate, OPI Who The Shrek Are You?, Circus by Andrea's Choice Reverso and China Glaze Adventure Red-y

You Will Need: A toothpick and/or a dotting tool. If you have one but not the other, it's perfectly fine and you'll still be able to do this.

Note: I didn't take a picture of it, but always start with a clear basecoat. I used Seche!
After the basecoat has dried, I wanted the base nail color to be different so I used China Glaze Stone Cold which has a nice shimmery charcoal matte finish. You can use whatever color you want as a background. If you want to make your base color have a matte finish, Essie, NYC, OPI - just about every nail polish company has a matte top coat you can use that you can find at your local drugstore.

Taking the larger "dot" side of my dotting tool, I dipped it into Circus by Andrea's Choice Reverso and made large polka dots all over my nails. They should be a tiny bit bigger than the "dot" the dotting tool makes. There's no rhyme or reason where they are and they don't need to be perfectly round.

Using that same larger "dot" side of my dotting tool, I dipped it into OPI Who The Shrek Are You? and made dots in only some of the white circles.

Again, using the same larger dot tool, I dipped into Essie Playdate and dotted the remaining white circles.

After my dots have dried, it's time to make them bloodshot! Taking my toothpick, I dipped into China Glaze Adventure Red-y and carefully made three or four (I varied) tiny lines around the green and purple parts of the eye. I mixed it up and only had a few on each nail have bloodshot eyes but you can make them all or none have them.

And last, but certainly not least: the pupils! I took my Migi Nail Art Pen in black but you can take a dotting tool or toothpick and dip it into whatever black you have and make a small black dot in the middle of all the eyes.

All done! Ahhh, creepy monster eyes!

So what did you guys think of my first ever nail art tutorial? Was it easy? What other nail art tutorials would you like to see? Would you rather see a tutorial via pictures or a video?
