Thank goodness it's Friday, guys. Ever have one of those weeks where you're just like, "if I can only make it through to the weekend"? Yeah, it's been one of those. Now that we're over the cold from hell, the boys have been giving me the hardest times to nap and that's basically the only time I get to blog so it's just been frustrating, to say the least.
But enough about that. Let's talk about this look. I just got the new ColourPop x My Little Pony Palette ($16 - still in stock!) in recently and wanted to play around with it. Did you guys grab anything from that release?
How To Get This Look:
- To prime, I used the ColourPop Crystal Priming Spray. If you've never used this spray before, you might be in for a soaking. The spray on these are insanely dense. I try to stretch my arm out as far as possible away from my face to spray. I love the results but hate how wet it can make my face if I spray too close.
- Moving onto concealer (because lately I've been doing that first before foundation), I used the ColourPop No Filter Concealer in Light Neutral and applied with a damp Jesse's Girl Beauty Sponge (LOVE this! I've used mine to almost shreds already. Will definitely be getting another!). For foundation, I used the tarte Gel Hybrid Foundation in Light Sand. This has been my ride-or-die foundation all summer going into fall. Obsessed with it.
- For bronzer, I used the Urban Decay Beached Bronzer in Bronzed and then for blush, I used Benefit Cosmetics Coralista Blush. For highlighter, I used the Urban Decay Afterglow Highlighter in Sin.
- Moving onto the eyes, I prepped my lids first with the MAC Paint Pot in Painterly for a neutral base.
- Diving into the ColourPop x My Little Pony Palette, I first took Flutterbye into the crease with a soft, crease brush and blended it in in a windshield wiper motion. Next I took Applejack and with a smaller crease brush, popped that under Flutterbye to create a nice, fluid blend into each other.
- Next, with a medium sized flat shader brush, I took Princess Sparkle and patted it all over my lids. Then I went back with the blending brush and blended that all in. Princess Sparkle was a little tough to blend but totally doable with some time. For the cat eye, I used the Jesse's Girl Liquid Eyeliner.
- On the lower lash line, I went in with Minty from the palette for a fun, pop of color and topped it all off with Butterscotch in the inner corner. I finished it off with a swipe of Benefit Roller Lash Mascara and wah-lah!
- For my lips, I used ColourPop Ultra Matte Lipstick in Bad Habit.
Stay tuned for a review on the ColourPop x My Little Pony Palette coming soon!
