Product sent for review.

Happy Sunday, friends! If you can recall, a few weeks back, I had the coolest opportunity to review a few of the face masks from this Korean skincare site, The Skin Forum. You can read the review here. Spoiler alert: I loved them!

While The Skin Forum has some of the coolest masks, they're best known for their 6 Step Facial In A Box - a facial treatment in a box catering to whatever skincare needs you have sent directly to your door! You can choose to subscribe month to month ($20), for three months ($57) or six months ($108).

Another choice to be made is which type of Facial In A Box you want to try:
  • Hydration - made with Hyaluronic Acid, Collagen and Aloe extract for a dewy and translucent skin.
  • Lift + Firm - made with Peptide, Collagen and Hyaluronic Acid for a firm and youthful skin.
  • Detox + Radiance - made with Niacinamide, Green Tea and Fruit extracts for a radiant and renewed skin

I had the opportunity to try out both the Hydration and the Lift + Firm 6 Step Facial In A Box but I'll be showing the Hydration one today. Each facial comes with six different products to create the facial of your dreams. Let's get started!

Step 1. Magic Cleansing Cloth

What better way to begin a facial than with a nice, clean face? The packet contains three cleanser-soaked pads. Directions read to use the first one all over your face, including your lips. The last two should be used to put on your eyes for a minute and then rub lightly to remove any leftover makeup.

Step 2. Gentle Exfoliating Swab

I've never used an exfoliator on a swab before but I'm totally diggin' it. To exfoliate, gently swab your face from the center out, focusing on any cells that have extra dead skin cells. For me, that's right in between my eyebrows and chin. The swab is super gently and has a great, light scent. So far, so good! Make sure to not get this around your eye or lip area.

Step 3. Advanced Soothing Toner

Moving onto a nice, soothing toner! The packet contains a light scented pad soaked in toner. Apply the toner in circular motions all over your face, starting from the center out.

Step 4. Sheet Mask

Guys, I've used face masks before but holy cow, when I pulled this one, it was so saturated with a super luxurious, smooth liquid. I applied this onto my face and left it on for about 20 minutes. Once the time was up, I removed it and patted in the left over essence. It might seem like a lot left over but it absorbs pretty quickly.

Step 5. Super Serum

For extra moisture, the next step is a super serum. I applied this with my middle finger and gently applied this to my eyes as well as my entire face. Serums are my absolute favorite because they're so lightweight but add a nice wallop of moisture!

Step 6. Repairing Cream.

The last step in this facial is a repairing cream! This repairing cream is better for normal to dry skin. It's super rich and thick. I went with the directions and applied this on my forehead, chin and cheeks and gently massaged it in. I left it on for ten minutes and anything that didn't absorb I gently patted off with a towel.

Final Thoughts:

Full disclosure, I've never had a facial done before - in-home or at a spa, but oh man, this is what dreams are made of. Each step was super gentle and easy to apply. No messes here! By end of the sixth step, my skin felt super smooth and hydrated! I'm super impressed and highly recommend this.
