I received this product for free from Moms Meet (momsmeet.com) to use and post my honest opinions.

I don't know if you guys have noticed but recently, I just haven't been feeling myself. I wasn't sad or mad or anything like that....just...lost. I kind of found myself not being happy with my body and was even more frustrated with not finding the time to do what I wanted to. I wanted something where I could take off "the mommy jacket" for just a few minutes and remember who I was. Any mamas feel me?

One morning, back in early March, I decided that I nothing was going to change if I didn't change it myself. I went onto to YouTube, found a random workout video (I think it was a PopSugar dance class?) and got my ass kicked by it. But it felt great at the same time so I did it again the next day...and the next day...and then started adding in resistance bands...and cardio...and weights...and protein shakes!

Finding a protein powder that worked for me, however, was difficult. I was feeling the burn from working out and needed a pick me up for myself and my muscles but I needed a protein powder that wouldn't make me rage (yeah, that happened),wouldn't make me feel jittery, one that was safe for breastfeeding and hey, if my kids could have it, that'd be awesome too!

Cue: VeganSmart All-In-One Nutritional Shakes! They are a plant-based protein powder that includes a five different non-GMO plant-based proteins, nine different fruits and veggies to support overall wellness, 22 vitamins and minerals to support normal and healthy cell function, six grams of dietary fiber and over 200 mg of Omega-3 for a healthier heart and brain, prebiotics for better intestinal flora and also a digestive enzymes blend that helps absorb nutrients better. Dang, right? That's a whole lotta good stuff!

What's even better about this protein powder is that it doesn't really have that protein powder taste. Ya'll know what I'm talking about, right? That weird taste that no matter how much you try to camouflage it with other ingredients, it just makes you want to drink your shake while plugging your nose. Gag. It's the worst. VeganSmart's powder has virtually no protein powder taste, I mean, as long as you're not throwing in ten scoops (which I don't recommend doing AT ALL).

The VeganSmart Protein Powder thankfully doesn't have that taste which has made creating shakes a lot of fun! My absolute favorite is this fun take on birthday cake because who doesn't want to have their cake and eat it too? Also, I really miss cake, in general. Haha. It's all about balance, right?

To get this yummy protein shake, you will need:
  • 1 frozen banana (if it's not frozen, just throw a handful of ice cubes in with it)
  • 1 scoop of the VeganSmart Vanilla
  • 1 tbsp of almond extract
  • 1/2 cup of almond milk
  • 1/2 cup of oats
  • (optional) a small squirt of butter flavored maple syrup
  • (optional) sprinkles - because, why not?
Blend everything together in your blender until smooth, pour into your favorite blender bottle and enjoy!

If protein shakes aren't your thing, you can use protein powder in waffles, smoothies, pancakes. You'll thank me later!
