Of all the changes that have come with this pregnancy; the biggest change one for me? My skin and hair! Like, who's hair and skin did I Freaky Friday switch and how the heck do we switch back?! All kidding aside, I'm very thankful to be pregnant, just in general, and these body changes are so normal and part of being pregnant but it doesn't mean I have to like them! 😒

My skin has gone from "normal" to extremely dry with chin breakouts like no one's business. Oh, and my hair? Wow. Having thin hair, I'm no stranger to oily hair the day after it's washed but THIS? This is a whole new level of oilyness.

On the brighter side, my hair on my legs and arms have been growing at a glacial pace and my arms have never been more clear (I have Keratosis Pilaris). So, I'll definitely take those wins!

Keeping all these changes in mind, plus trying to be aware of the ingredients in my faves to make sure they're pregnancy-safe, has been a little tough. I'm still learning but here's a few of my faves:

First things first, every pregnant woman should take a few minutes to look at the ingredients in their skincare and beauty products! There's a few ingredients to be avoided as there can be a small risk to the fetus if absorbed. A few off the top of my head to avoid are retinoids, parabens, fragrance and formaldehyde. Truthfully, besides fragrance, I try to avoid these ingredients in my every day skincare and beauty products anyway.

15 Minute Beauty has an amazing pregnancy-safe beauty/skincare products series I've been referencing that puts these products in groups of what's safe to use while pregnant, what's safe to use during nursing and products that you are better off not using until after.

I'm still learning what is safe and what isn't but so far, my faves have been:

Derma E Microdermabrasion Scrub ($32.50)
Palmer's Coconut Oil Coconut Water Facial Moisturizer ($9.95)
Palmer's Coconut Oil Body Lotion ($5.95)
Sulwhasoo First Care Activating Serum ($84)
