Birthday Nails: Lynnderella Glass Houses

Hi everyone! Sorry for being a little MIA lately. I've had so much going on between my birthday, my nephew being born and job interviews, I haven't had a chance to just sit down and blog! So tonight, I wanted to show you what I wore on my nails for my birthday!

Now, I'm usually not one for darker colors since I feel like they're a little unforgiving if you mess up and I feel like dark colors kind of just wash out my already pale skin but I really loved Maybelline Color Show Sapphire Siren! It was a lot less stark navy than I thought it would be. And since I had to have sparkle for my birthday, I decided to do an odd combo and layed Lynnderella Glass Houses over it!

PS. This post is pretty picture heavy!

Maybelline Color Show Sapphire Siren - a navy creme.
Lynnderella Glass Houses - copper and turquoise hexes in a clear base.

Macro of Glass Houses.

Sapphire Siren went on smoothly and opaque in two coats. I added two coats of Glass Houses on top!

I really like this combo! I never expected navy and orange to look so awesome together!

I have no idea why my middle finger looks like it smooshed in. I promise it wasn't!

Where to buy: Lynnderella - eBay - prices vary and Maybelline Color Show Sapphire Siren - Walmart and drugstores - $2.97.

I keep repeating myself but I love this color combo together! Sapphire Siren really picks up on the turquoise glitters hidden in Glass Houses! I know this might be silly, but I'd like to address that I know a lot of people have mixed feelings on Lynnderella's polishes. Personally, I think they're gorgeous and cherish the ones I have but I understand others don't. Alrighty. Back to the polish. What do you think about this color combo?

nails inc. Sugar House Lane

Happy afternoon everyone! I was going to post this polish this weekend but to be honest, this polish is so cute I wanted to share it early! Another polish from nails inc. Sprinkles collection - Sugar House Lane!

Sugar House Lane is a pastel grey with monochrome sprinkles.

GUYS. In case you didn't know, nail polish is flammable.

Macro bottle shot! It looks like salt and pepper in there - but pretty salt and pepper!

This is two coats but you could probably get away with one for almost full opacity.

To me, this could be the perfect polish for someone who likes neutral colors with a kick!

Where to buy: Sephora / nails inc. - $9.50

Pomegranate Beach House & Blue Screen of Death

Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, puppies and kitties; may I please have your attention? I, Noelle of XO, Noelle finally, finally, finally invested in a light box. And by invested, I mean I forced my boyfriend to make one for me. Please, please, hold your applause - ah heck, clap away! WOOHOO! So naturally, I'm more excited then usual (Is that possible!?) to show you all these gorgeous (and when I say gorgeous, I really mean jaw-dropping) polishes from Pomegranate Nail Lacquer! Enjoy!

Beach House and Blue Screen of Death

First up is Beach House - a light blue-green creme.

I would describe it as more of a dusty mint. But not the kind you find under the couch. EW.

Why, hello there!

This was took two coats of pure perfection, people!

I love the name. I love the color. I love the application. It's a win/win/win!

Last, but certainly not least is Blue Screen of Death - a bright blue jelly with turquoise shimmer.

Dun dun dun!

Before we get started, here's a macro of that turquoise shimmer. LE DROOL!

OH. EM. GEE!

Two to three coats for full delicious opacity. Again, VERY smooth application.

Do you see that shimmer!? It almost looks like it's glowing. I'm going to need back ups.

Yup, I had to add an extra picture (sorry Beach House - I usually like to keep things even!) because this polish seriously deserves it!

Where to buy: Pomegranate Nail Lacquer / $9.00

nails inc. Sprinkles Pudding Lane

Hi lovebugs! I love tonight's polish because I think the collection would be perfect for me to wear on my birthday this Friday! nails inc. Sprinkles is a special effects collection of four polishes that imparts a sprinkle effect on your nails - how sweet is that!? Tonight I have Pudding Lane and I can't wait to show you Sugar House Lane this weekend!

Pudding Lane is a teal base with blue and gold sprinkles.

Bottle and thumb shot!

Application was extremely smooth to work with and was opaque after two coats!

I can't get over how they really do look like sprinkles. Like, blueberry frosting with navy and gold Jimmies or something. I swear, I won't lick them!

Macro to show how pretty this polish really is! And, for those wondering, removal was a breeze using the tin foil method!
Where to buy: Sephora / nails inc. - $9.50

Mommy & Me Manicures with Lynnderella Pentimento & I Don't Mean Rhinestones

Hey everyone! Today I bring you a random mini post that's been sitting in my drafts for the past couple of weeks! A couple of weeks ago, my mom and I decided to pamper ourselves and do each other's nails using the new Lynnderella's my boyfriend bought me for an early birthday present.

Our hands! Pentimento looks like a party on the nails and I Don't Mean Rhinestones is SO flashy. I loved it! We both got the biggest compliments on our nails!

A little blurry but here's my mom rockin' Pentimento over Essie Yogaga. I had her pose and everything!

I Don't Mean Rhinestones over Zoya Robyn (my mom's name)!

Lynnderella is currently only available via eBay - prices vary.

Glisten & Glow Review + Sation Lilac Fiesta

Hi little lovebugs! Now, I know I'm easily excitable and all, but I am SUPER DUPER excited for this post.

The lovely Jill from Glisten & Glow sent me some of her products from her G&G collection and Sation Lilac Fiesta, one of the many polish lines she carries along with Essie, OPI, Orly, Barielle, China Glaze, Jade and HK Girl top coat, to name a few. The Glisten & Glow collection includes everything handmade from body wash to lip balm to hand sanitizer and get this: all totally customizable! How awesome is that? They have 95+ fragrances in stock to chose and you can even customize your label! I swear, Glisten & Glow is like Burger King: You can have everything your way! AND (yes, this 'and' needs all caps), Glisten & Glow has a mens line with scents like Armani Code, Fahrenheit and Obsession!

8 oz. Body Butter in Sangria White Peach / $13.50 - I love this for so many reasons ! This scent reminds me a lot of a body mist from Victoria's Secret called Raspberry Lemonade that they discontinued a while back (I'm not sure why they called it Raspberry Lemonade when it didn't smell like raspberries). Sangria White Peach smells so yummy! Like summery peaches but not overpowering.  This body butter itself made my skin extremely smooth and wasn't sticky or oily at all. I loved it!

Glis-tics Cuticle Oil in Aloe & Green Tea / $10.50 - Another must-have product from G&G! Aloe & Green Tea smells like a day at the beach and I love it!

The rollerball is perfect for applying the cuticle oil without making a huge mess. I'm definitely guilty of doing that before! This is perfect to throw in your purse and go!

How cute is she? She customized it especially for me! Yours can be customized with anything! Perfect for weddings, birthdays, etc. Love that!

HK Girl Fast Drying & Super Shiny Clear Top Coat / $5.00 - So while Jill didn't send me this to review (I bought it a while back), I figured this would be the perfect time to review it since Jill sells it! She buys a huge bottle in bulk and then pours it into smaller bottles to sell. Guys, I swear by this. This is the only top coat I use. It's on the thick side (great for glitter bombs) but not so thick that it's unmanageable It leaves a very shiny top coat and I've had absolutely no shrinkage problems. Also, the dry time on this is unbelievable. It dries in about 2 minutes to the touch and four minutes for a full dry. It's crazy!

Sation Lilac Fiesta / $5.50 - Along will all the G&G products, Jill sent me this polish! As I said before, Jill also carries nail polish from brands such as Essie, OPI, Sation, Jade (USA), Barielle and that's just naming a few!

Lilac Fiesta has a fuschia base with hot pink flash.

Tried to catch the hot pink flash.

JAW. DROP.

Excuse the blue! The polish I was previously wearing dyed my nails a little! I got most of it off but must've missed this one. This picture definitely shows the gorgeous flash this polish has. Definitely a keeper!

Where to Buy: All orders can be mailed to jill@glistenandglow.com and tell her I sent you! :) Nail polish orders can be sent to nails@glistenandglow.com. Also check out and 'like' G&G's FaceBook page and blog!
