It's been awhile since I've had a Mascara Monday, huh? There's no better time to start it back up then with the L'Oreal Miss Manga Mascara I received in my June Rite Aid Network's box! There's been a lot of hype over this baby and as a self-proclaimed mascara maven, I'm ready to try it out!

L'Oreal Miss Manga Mascara
I don't know how many times I've fallen in love with a L'Oreal mascara. My faves to this day are still the Telescopic and Voluminous Million Lashes. Naturally, I was pretty excited to try their newest one.

I'd be lying if I said I knew all about the ~manga life~ but from research (and the huge cartoon eyes all over the packaging), I found out it's a style of Japanese comic books. So there's that. I'm just going to put two and two together and assume that the gist of this mascara is to make your eyes look cartoon like? Maybe?

The Mascara: The formula is a bit wetter than my liking but surprisingly it isn't a deal breaker for me. It dries pretty fast. I got the shade "Black Brown" although they do offer a black as well. Even though it was wet, it never smudged nor flaked on me. EVER. Which says a lot. I was sweating like crazy on Saturday at my sister in law's baby shower and it never gave up. It gives volume and a nice lift that is usually achieved with my eyelash curler. Unfortunately, they don't offer a waterproof version yet which seems to be the biggest complaint but I definitely see it being grabbed up fast when it does come out.

The Brush: Definitely a bit different than your usual wand, huh? If you check out the neck of the wand, you'll notice a little notch in it. That's because this baby moves and bends to help you coat every little lash. This is L'Oreal's first time creating a flexible wand called a Flexor Brush. It takes a bit of getting used to it, but I wouldn't say it's lifechanging. I also don't mind that the shape of the brush is a tapered spoolie (or Christmas tree) although I prefer a wider brush when dealing with such a wet formula. Sometimes I feel like the bristles are too close and combined with the wet consistency, can turn gorgeous lashes into spider lashes real fast.

The Results: I think they kind of speak for themselves! Ah-mazing! Usually, I curl my lashes but I decided not to with these to show you true results. The Miss Manga Mascara lifts, volumizes and curls with easy. I know some people said they had issues with the wand and getting used to it but I didn't have a hard time nor did I have to hold it in a new or weird way to achieve this. The only thing I did notice about this mascara is that it doesn't give any added length as you can see in the last picture. I personally don't mind and think because it gives such a huge lift and curl, it makes your lashes appear longer anyway like that.
