Hi babes! It's been awhile since I received an Influenster VoxBox. Imagine my surprise when a fewof weeks ago, I received an e-mail saying one was being sent out to me - and with nail polish in it (right up my alley)! I received the Sally Hansen Total Knockout VoxBox with three nail polishes inside - Jaded, Red My Lips and Pat On The Black.

Sally Hansen Jaded, Red My Lips and Pat On The Black
Jaded (which I already own) is an extremely sheer seafoam green. Beautiful color but the opacity sucks. You need at least 4-5 coats to get it looking nice. Red My Lips is your typical deep red. Two coats does the trick but again, it's just your run-of-the-mill red. Nothing real special. Also, this stains to make sure to use a nice base coat beforehand. Pat On The Black looks to be a nice deep blackened purple. Maybe like OPI Lincoln Park After Dark? Unfortunately, I can only speculate (check out why down below) and have no idea what the formula and application is like. Sorry, guys!

Complete Salon Manicure means that it does seven different things all in one polish: color, top coat, base coat, strengthener, gel shine, chip treatment and growth treatment. Personally, I think it's hard to promise those because everyone's nail react differently to polish. One polish may stay on for me but could peel of in sheets for my mom.

I had heard some people who received this box had some packaging issues - or lack of. Some came with little to no bubblewrap to protect the polishes. All three were bubblewrapped separately so thankfully nothing broke. I also heard reports of bottles leaking and am happy to say I didn't experience that either. I did, however, have my own crappy experience. My bottle of Pat On The Black refused to open. I've had everyone and their mom try to open this sucker and it won't budge. No hot water, holding it upside down, saturating it in acetone nor simple man power would open this baby up. So unfortunately, I can't give an honest review of that polish. Whomp whomp. Figures that was the color I was most excited to try.

Overall, I enjoyed this VoxBox but was left feeling like I was missing something. Maybe if they included spring colors it would've gotten me more excited? I was a little bit bummed about Pat On The Black not opening but obviously, that's not their fault. The formula for Red My Lips was amazing. Super opaque and just the right consistency. Jaded, unfortunately, not so much. Don't get me wrong, the color is pretty once you get three to four layers on your nails to reach opaqueness.

Are you currently part of Influenster? If not, what the heck are you waiting for? It's FREE, people! You don't have to do a single thing (except for some surveys to actually get you qualified for a box). Pretty ah-mazing, right? Hurry and go join!

*Influenster sent me this box for a 100% honest review.
