I'm never one to complain (ahem) but the weather really needs to get it together. We went from 90's on Monday to low 50's with rain and wind on Wednesday to gorgeous weather today. Seriously, New England? Let's get it together. Thankfully, with part two of Zoya's Summer 2014 polishes - The Bubbly Collection - we can still feel summery from the comfort of our own homes no matter what the weather's like outside.
Zoya Bubbly Summer 2014 Collection
Stassi is described as a brilliant citron green with a gold metallic glaze and holographic finish.
It's basically a gorgeous green glitter bomb. The formula is jelly which I wasn't quite sure how it would work out opacity-wise but surprisingly, three coats did the trick and there was barely any VNL showing.
Muse is described as a blue raspberry holographic fizz with a subtle vein of gold.
I absolutely love this color. The description is spot on and reminds me of ocean water. Three smooth coats did the trick for full opacity.
Jesy is described as a firey coral orange metallic holo.
Absolutely stunning color! Application was like butter and required about two coats for full opacity.
Harper is described as a cotton candy pink with a spun gold shimmer.
This might be my absolute favorite from this collection. It reminds me of Wendy (from the Tickled Collection) but as a huge glitter bomb. Application was superb and required three coats for full opacity.
Alma is described as a warm golden peach metallic.
This was a little meh for me. Three coats in and there was still VNL. Application was great, it just seemed like I couldn't build it up. I think maybe five coats would do the trick which is a bit excessive.
Binx is described as a spicy orchid purple dappled with gold metallic and holo sparkles.
THUMBS FREAKIN' UP on this baby. Application was amazing and this really required only two coats but I did three just to make sure it was opaque enough to my liking.
Overall: Almost all the polishes were awesome to work with, especially considering that they're all jellies. I expected insane amounts of layers to reach full opacity but most were there at three coats. My favorites from this collection are definitely Harper and Binx! Which ones are your favorites?
