#FOTD | Total Space Case

While I didn't go nuts on this look, goodness, it feels good to just get a little funky! The boys both have bronchitis/bronchiolitis and it's just been miserable over here. It was so nice to let off some steam, throw my hair up and get a little creative. I kind of went for an icy alien vibe but totally wearable, right? ;)

 Face:

  • Foundation: Pur Cosmetics Cameo Contour Dual-Ended Contour Stick in Light applied with the Pur Cosmetics Contour Blending Sponge (Hands down, my favorite foundation right now! These two work so beautifully together!)
  • Bronzer/Highlight/Blush: Benefit Hoola, Urban Decay Afterglow Highlighter in Sin and Milani Cosmetics Luminoso Blush
  • Brows: Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Definer in Medium Brown
  • Eyes: Kylie Holiday Palette (Sugar Cookie in the crease, Evergreen on the lid, Frosty on the inner corner and Nutcracker on the bottom), Eddie Funkhouser Eye Lining Stylus Liner, tarte Cosmetics Lights, Camera, Lashes Mascara and House of Lashes Siren minis.

BITE Beauty The Lip Pencil in 020 + 044 / Amuse Bouche Lipsticks in Whiskey + Honeycomb | Review

I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes.

Happy Wednesday, babes! I've been the biggest fan of BITE Beauty for a long time now. They're one of those companies that you just know the quality is going to be there and that it won't disappoint. So imagine my surprise/excitement when Influenster sent me BITE Beauty's newest release of lip pencils, coordinating mini Amuse Bouche lipsticks and a Sephora lip pencil sharpener!

The BITE Beauty Lip Pencil ($18) comes in 22 different shades that range from vampy wines to rosey pinks to that perfect nude so you're covered on just about every shade possible. The texture of the pencils are super creamy and opaque. They're that perfect middle ground of smooth enough to just glide over the lines of your lips but still stiff enough so that they're not crumbling at the slightest touch. I mean, according to Sephora.com, even the pencil casing is made from "artisanal wood" and the pencil itself is whipped with shea butter and three times the pigment. BITE Beauty definitely wasn't playing around with this one. They are literal perfection.

I received the shades 020 (a beige nude) and 044 (a rich mahogany) and can't stop using them. Guys, I never line my lips. Ever. But these babies have me changing my ways! I'm not sure if I ever told you guys this but when I was younger, I dropped my Eggo near our Pekinese. (I swear, I'm going somewhere with this). When I went to pick it up, she went for it and then turned around and bit me, taking some of my top lip off with her.

Thankfully, they were able to stitch up but it did cause some unevenness on my top lip that I wasn't even aware of until I started beauty blogging. Anyway, The Lip Pencil is so smooth that it glides right over that scar and allows me to even everything out without any issues.

Swatches: BITE Beauty The Lip Pencil in 020, Amuse Bouche Lipstick in Honeycomb, The Lip Pencil in 044 and Amuse Bouche Lipstick in Whiskey

Overall: I'm impressed with these! As someone who isn't a big liner user, these have convinced me that I'm missing out - and I need about every color! I also appreciate that they have a liner that coordinates with each of their Amuse Bouche lipsticks (another big fan of those!).

ColourPop Moment of Weekness | Review + Swatches

It's a snow day here in Connecticut! One babe is napping and the other is enjoying the snow outside so I decided to take full advantage of it and get to bloggin'. I've literally had this review sitting in my drafts since a few days after Christmas. I am sa-lackin'.

On the blog today, I'm sharing a full review and lip swatches on the ColourPop Moment of Weekness Collection! This collection includes seven matte liquid lipsticks - one for every day of the week - in their brand new matte formula which is supposed to be more comfortable and less drying.

  • Sunday - a soft terracotta.
  • Monday - a warm peachy beige.
  • Tuesday - a bright coral red.
  • Wednesday - a vibrant hot pink.
  • Thursday - a brilliant red violet.
  • Friday - a true black.
  • Saturday - a saturated blackberry.

Overall: For $5 a pop, this a great deal as you're essentially getting each a dollar cheaper if you were to buy them as a single. I was worried I wasn't going to notice this "new and improved" formula everyone was talking about with these but I'm happy to say I did. Previously, the mattes dried down very fast (too fast) and were pretty uncomfortable, settling into lines and flaking off. I'm happy to find that these seven were very comfortable and dried a little bit slower so you were able to go back in to fix any lines. I didn't notice any flaking. The only one I had an issue with, as you can see above, was Saturday, which was kind of streaky. I'm pretty sure if I went back over it, I could've evened it out but I did want to show that I did experience streakiness upon the first application. My absolute favorites are: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Friday (that black!).

Valentine's Day | Anti-Valentine's Day Look

Coming up with this look was a little tough as I love Valentine's Day but I kind of wanted to go in a more dramatic, dark direction. Like a Valentine's Day villian!

  • Face: Urban Decay Skin Perfector in Light applied with a damp Beauty Blender. No concealer (I forgot!). For the bronzer, contour, blush and highlight, I used my handy, dandy Smashbox MasterClass Palette 3 (I'm obsessed with this!). For highlight, I used ColourPop x Hello Kitty School is Fun Highlighter.
  • Brows: Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Definer
  • Eyes: Jesse's Girl Eyeshadow Primer as a base for the eyeshadows and then I went in with ABH Modern Renaissance Palette (literally, the perfect palette for Valentine's Day!). Warm Taupe in the crease, Love Letter on the outer V, Tempera on the lid to lighten things up and then Cyprus Umber under the eye. Vermeer in the inner corner. Kat Von D Tattoo Liner for that cat eye and House of Lashes Iconics.
  • Lips: Lined my lips with Bite Beauty Lip Pencil in 22 and then filled them in with Bite Beauty Whiskey

PopSugar Must-Have Box | January 2017

* PopSugar provided me a complimentary box.

Starting the week off with a little subscription box opening. Woohoo! Today, we'll be checking out the PopSugar Must-Have Box for January 2017! PopSugar is, hands down, one of the best monthly subscription boxes out there. I'm always so excited to see it show up at my front door.

For those that aren't familiar wth PopSugar, it's a monthly subscription box delivered straight to your door, every month, filled with full-sized home, fashion, food, beauty and more products. They also have a "mini" box option that contains a smaller amount of products for a lesser price per month. The full-size box will run you $39.95 a month, $109.85 for three (saving you $10) or $214.70 for six months (saving you $25). The mini box will run you $18.95 per month.

If you click on the "PopSugar" tag below the post, you can check out all of the past month's to get an idea of what might come in your box!

What's in the box?

  • Goldfaden MD Fresh A Peel Multi Acid Resurfacing Peel ($85) - Why, hello! Starting off the new year with a spankin' new face. This peel removes dead skin, makes skin softer and brighter and feels clean and cool all while doing so. This peel alone is worth more than the box itself!
  • May Designs Desk Calendar & Note Card ($25) - I needed this! My resolution was to get more organized and this is perfect - and pretty! It features all 12 months on gorgeous, floral stockboard. You can also flip this over once you're done and write a note to someone!
  • Daily Concepts Your Hair Wrap Towel ($18) - I always swear by using microfiber towels for drying your hair because I feel they help dry your hair the fastest. I had no clue microfiber also helps with frizz and flyaways! This also comes with a pouch so you can tuck it in your bag for on-the-go.
  • Manduka eQua Mat Towel in Playa ($38) - Unfortunately, I don't do yoga but my mom does so I can't wait to show her this! This towel is slip-resistant, fast drying and absorbent so you can get your sweat on without worrying about slipping and sliding around.
  • Sourcebooks, Inc. Instant Happy Notes ($8.99) - Who doesn't need a little pick me up every once in awhile? This book is filled with pages of cute quotes and drawings to perk you right up.
  • Dean & Luca Peppermint Loose Leaf Tea ($10.75) - I wish I liked tea because with its menthol flavor and us battling this horrible cold for about the fifty millionth time this year, I could totally use some of this!
  • Glade No. 3 Free Coconut & Beach Woods Candle ($4.99) - My absolute favorite item in the box! The scent is just the right amount of coconut without going too sunscreen-y on ya. The fact that it's soy is such a huge plus for me, as well.

OOTD | Cranberry Vibes with Love Your Melon

Happy Friday, my little babies! I'm so excited to share with you my first ever outfit post in collaboration with Love Your Melon

Love Your Melon is an apparel brand with an amazing cause. It all started back in 2012, by two friends, Zach and Brian, in an entrepreneur class with one simple mission: to provide a hat for every child battling cancer in America. Since then, Love Your Melon has donated over 2.5 million dollars and 90,000 hats have been given to children battling pediatric cancer. 50% of profit from the sales of Love Your Melon go to their non-profit partners that work in the field of pediatric oncology. This money also helps fund cancer research initiatives and provide support for the families of the children battling cancer.

Fashionably-speaking, this is one of the coziest beanies to have ever graced its presence on my head. Have you guys ever worn a hat or beanie and within the hour, your forehead starts itching and it becomes so annoying to wear? Yeah, not the case with this LYM beanie. I'm obsessed and have worn it every single day! I think the black speckled cuffed beanie or the black pom beanie is next on my list to buy.

Be sure to check out Love Your Melon often as they sell out of their beanies fast! I mean, of course they would. Cute beanies + good cause = sell out status!

  • Jacket: TJ Maxx
  • Jeans: Old Navy Rockstars
  • Boots: American Eagle

Valentine's Day | Bold + Flirty Look

Valentine's Day is two weeks away (to my fiance: write that down!) and I've come up with four different looks to rock, depending on your vibe, for the occasion! This one is my "Bold and Flirty" (super original, Noelle) look with a smokey glittery halo eye and in-yo-face bold hot pink lipstick.

  • First things first, I applied MoJo Spa High Society Moisturizer. My skin has been really dry lately due to the sudden drop in the temperature (we went from 50's to 20's overnight!) so I really wanted to make sure my skin soaked in something good. I decided to forgo wearing foundation (what what) but you can definitely go ahead and do you and apply some. I did, however, conceal under my eyes and any obnoxiously red areas with the It Cosmetics CC+ Concealer and then set that with the Laura Mercier Brightening Powder applied with a damp Beauty Blender.
  • For the eyes, I used Jesse's Girl Eye Shadow Primer (my new holy grail!) and applied that all over the lid. For shadows, I used mainly the Jesse's Girl Backstage Collection Palette in Sounds of The City. For the crease, I used the light mocha shade on the bottom row. For the inner and outer v, I used the dark brown next to it. I also used that shade for the bottom, as well. For the middle part of the lid, I used ColourPop's Sleigh and dabbed that on with my finger. For the cat eye, I used the Kat Von D Tattoo Liner and for lashes I used the House of Lashes lashes in Iconic. For brows, I used the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Definer in Brunette.
  • Back to the face, I've been obsessed with the Vita Liberata Trystal Minerals Self Tanning Bronzer and applied that everywhere. Basically. I did lightly contour with the Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit (in Light) and for blush, I used ColourPop Strapped. For highlighter, I used ColourPop x Hello Kitty School Is Fun Highlighter.
  • Lastly, for lips, I used Kat Von D's Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Bauhau5.

Stay tuned for the next look - Soft and Sweet!

Recipe | Toddler Snacks - Yogurt Covered Cheerios

Raise your hand if you have a toddler that eats like a bird on like, the world's weirdest diet. Here's a better scenario: think about your favorite food and how much you love it. Okay. Now it's tomorrow and you're not sure why, but you absolutely hate that said favorite food you loved so much yesterday and can't even bare the thought of looking at it. That's the exact situation I'm currently working with here.

I do have a silver lining though. If there's one thing he does eat, it's a snack. And multiple snacks throughout the day kind of equal out to meals, right? Right?!

One of his favorite snacks is a super-duper easy, two ingredient snack with his favorite type of Cheerios (Hunter's is the honey nut) and his favorite yogurt (plain ol' vanilla) but I bet strawberry yogurt with regular Cheerios would be amazing - the choices are endless! You can also mix in granola, raisins, etc. to switch it up a bit. This snack is also fab for teething babes as it's pretty cold when it comes out of the freezer!

The best part of this snack? Your toddler can help! It's as easy as mixing the two together and popping it in the freezer! Find the full recipe below and enjoy!

You will need:

  • 2 cups of Honey Nut Cheerios
  • 1 cup of Yogurt
  • Bowl (to mix everything in)
  • Spatula
  • Parchment paper (not shown in the tutorial but seriously, I recommend this!)
  • Pan
  • Optional: Raisins, granola, fruit, etc.
  • Add the Cheerios and yogurt together.
  • Mix together until the Cheerios are pretty evenly coated.
  • Spread out over parchment paper on a sheet pan.
  • Pop in the freezer for about two hours.
  • Take them out and break them apart. Enjoy! PS. These babies DO melt so make sure to have a bib or wipes nearby!
What's your go-to snack for your toddler?

the latest on the 'gram.
