Hellllllo holiday season! Looking for a quick and easy festive treat that also can also double as a fab gift? I got you! Let's whip up some trail mix in just a few minutes with food you probably already have in your pantry.
The Merry Mix contains allllllll the things I love about the holidays: cinnamon, peppermint (they go v well together!), white chocolate, marshmallows, etc. but the fun thing about trail mix is you can add whatever the heck you want with whatever you have on hand. Make it a theme (hot cocoa trail mix, gingerbread trail mix, etc.) or throw together different odds and ends. I promise it's (almost) foolproof!
Don't forget to store in a airtight container and eat (or gift) within a week for max freshness!
MERRY MIX TRAIL MIX
- Start with a base! I used cinnamon toast crunch but I also love these: Cheerios, Chex Mix, peanuts or Captain Crunch.
- Add the mix ins: white chocolate chips, mini marshmallows, butterscotch chips, chocolate chips, M&M's, crushed peppermint sticks, Andes chocolates, craisins, mini peanut butter cups - there are so many options!
- Throw in a few bigger pieces. I used peppermint pretzels as well as snowflake marshmallows.
- I stored in this medium container ($11) from Target!
