In case the thousands of other bloggers you follow didn't tell you - there's only seven days left until Christmas! Can you believe it?!

We normally host Christmas Eve but this year we weren't going to and now were are again (oy!) so while I'm planning on dressing pretty comfy to run around in, I'll probably throw on some fun but simple glitzy makeup to celebrate!

Four Steps to a Glitzy Holiday Look!

  • After priming my lid (I always use MAC Paint Pot in Painterly - it helps make the colors pop and stay in place), I went in with a light brown shade from the Wet N' Wild Nude Awakening Palette ($4.99) and popped it into the crease with a fluffy crease brush.
  • With that same fluffy brush, I took the maroon shade from that same palette, and lightly patted it into my outer v. With a clean brush, lightly blend the edges out.
  • This part is optional if you're putting glitter on your lid, but if you're not, with a small shader brush, I took a white/light shadow and patted that on the inner to middle lid.
  • Last part! Truth be told, I'm actually afraid of glitter around the eyes. I saw a video of a girl who wore (unsafe) glitter, and ended up losing her eye from it getting in and getting infected. I still cringe thinking about it. The Stila Glitter & Glow Liquid Eyeshadows ($24) are the only ones I feel comfortable using without worrying about the glitter moving all over the place. I patted just a tiny bit of this on the lid and then patted it around with a small shader brush.
