Our Christmas book nook is up! Decorating the kid's book shelves has become one of my favorite things to do for the holidays. Sure, decorating makes them room look festive, but I swear, it makes the kids want to read even more when they're up and displayed!

CHRISTMAS BOOK NOOK:

Our Christmas book collection is mostly made up of gifts and buying a book or two every year. If you're looking to start or add to your collection, check out my Ultimate List of Christmas Books post I made a few weeks ago!

As for the decorations, I wanted to go for a fun, colorful look this year.  The felt icicle banner ($2.49) is from Hobby Lobby and we love them. I've had these banners for years and they still look great. The bottle brush trees are a mix of Hobby Lobby and Target Bullseye's Playground. The little wooden trees are from this year's Target Bullseye's Playground and are $1 each! The fluffy yarn trees are from Target a few years ago but stay tuned - I plan on doing a DIY of them soon! The nutcrackers are from Hobby Lobby a few years ago but I found these ($4.99) that you can paint yourself.
